Position Overview
Overview
Reporting to the Senior Vice-President of Strategy and Impact, the Director of Membership is responsible for designing and implementing the CEBA’s membership growth and retention strategy that aligns with CEBA’s strategic objectives. The Director of Membership is responsible for leading the team charged with the development, implementation, and evaluation of membership growth strategies, as well as day-to-day management of the CEBA’s member engagement. Serves as the liaison for the Membership Committee and Advisory Board to build a strong membership culture within the Association; works across the executive leadership team to achieve the goal of CEBA membership while delivering and ensuring the highest level of service to our members.
Responsibilities
Leads the association’s overall efforts to recruit, retain, and engage membership.
Collaborates with the SVP S&I, association staff, and key members to:
o Create a roadmap for sustainable membership growth
o Establish short- and long-range functional team plans and goals to achieve organization membership objectives
o Outline a data-driven member engagement, retention, and recruitment strategy and implementation plan
o Develop strategies and programs to stimulate member engagement as a means of membership renewal
Identify opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to enhance member benefits and services offered by the Association
Develop strategies to measure and strengthen member engagement
Work with both staff and members to develop and manage processes for feedback on CEBA membership, programs, and services
Oversight of all membership data, tracking and reporting, including but not limited to:
o Accurate membership records
o Membership trend analysis by region/size/type
o Recruitment and retention reports
o Current, new and prospective member information
o Member experience throughout join and renewal process
Initiate and manage strategic partnerships with other auxiliary-related associations and groups to help recruitment and retention of membership; including, but not limited to, attendance at these types of conferences to represent the association
Works with SVP S&I to set annual membership goals
Provides monthly insight into membership revenue and tracking to annual goals
Serves as staff liaison to the Membership Committee and Advisory Board; assist the committee chairs in the planning of meetings, development of the agenda, and in the execution of all committee activities
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required:
Master’s degree and 7+ years’ experience or equivalent professional experience
Additional:
Advanced knowledge or experience with clean energy technology research, development, deployment strongly preferred
Experience visualizing and articulating current and future state analyses.
Experience with corporate clean energy procurement preferred
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated and dynamic workstyle

Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Communicate verbally and in written form with great facility and must be able to be understood.
Occasional domestic travel.
