job description : Investigations firm seeks editor to review, amend and edit reports for clients, organize and collate exhibits, and conduct online database research. The writing must be clear, concise and easy to digest. The applicant selected will be able to quickly digest complex material, discern what information is missing or not presented properly, obtain the required additional information from the Internet or from investigators with the firm, and make the required text changes in the course of 1-5 hours per report. Investigations or journalism background helpful. The firm’s office is in downtown Denver. The editor can work from home, but the best candidates will live in the city/county of Denver or nearby. This is contract work; it’s not appropriate for applicants who have or want a full-time job, or a part-time job with regular hours. There is no guarantee of hours, but an average of 10-40 hours a month is likely. Weekend work is required one weekend a month; the work schedule is otherwise flexible.
