Your Opportunity

The Model Risk Oversight (MRO) team within Corporate Risk Management is responsible for identifying and handling model risk at the company. The MRO Research and Development Team develop software technologies that redefine model risk management.

We are looking for an experienced quality assurance analyst in test to join this highly engaged, driven and innovative team at Schwab. We build highly sophisticated software solutions that empower MRO and our business partners. The successful candidate will be able to lead the effort to bring software QAQC to the next level.

What you are good at

Conduct comprehensive functional and non-functional testing for software applications
Create test materials, including test cases, test scripts, test data, defect management, and issue resolution for production implementations
Build and carry out UAT plans, as a key component of organizational change process that includes review, prioritization and implementation of issues and defects using JIRA
Complete defect resolution and perform root cause analysis for critical defects
Document and communicate UAT analysis, metrics, and project status to management, testers, or partners

What you have

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields is required
5+ years of shown experience in the field of software quality assurance
3+ years of shown experience manually testing web-based applications
Strong experience testing web-based solutions
Experience with JIRA/Zephyr for test case documentation and management
Strong experience in designing and completing regression tests
Strong project management skills
Sufficient SQL query skills
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Experience with API testing tools, such as SoapUI, Postman
Strong communication and presentation skills
Solid experience with Atlassian software (Bitbucket, Jira, Bamboo) preferred
Experience or curiosity about learning principles of model risk management

Colorado Compensation
Target Total Compensation – 95,700 – 210,500.
