General Summary

This temporary position will work 40 hours per week from approximately mid-May through July 2022. Some nights and weekends required.

The Temporary Substitute Librarian is an entry level professional position with Lafayette Public Library. Librarians in this position provide high quality customer services to the library’s diverse clientele. Duties may include a wide variety of potential assignments serving adults, teens, children, and community organizations. Assignments might include general public services (reference, reader’s advisory, technology assistance, outreach, and programming) in both library and community settings and/or oversight of specific library activities, including: Reading Buddies; Homework Center; Library Outreach Services; Library Support Services; Library Volunteer Services; and Library Information Services.
