Job Description:
Position: Human Resources Assistant (Part-Time)
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and project support to the District’s Human Resources department and provides information to employees and supervisors. Attention to detail, accuracy and maintaining a high level of confidentiality is critical in this position.
This position will typically be scheduled 16-20 hours/week. Additional hours may be available during peak times of the year or as otherwise needed.
Job Responsibilities:

Performs routine recruiting functions, such as preparing and posting jobs internally and externally; manages the flow of application in Web ATS; and assists with interviewing as needed.
Administer driving and criminal record checks.
Processes and maintains employee and applicant information in HRIS system. Ensuring accurate information is entered and reflected in the HRIS/payroll database, verifying, and providing input regarding data and pay changes. Periodically audits the database to ensure accuracy.
Prepares and maintains employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentially. Assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures by conducting research, collecting and analyzing data.
Answers questions from employees, supervisors and applicants about employment procedures and policies and other HR-related topics.
Assist with training and development program; develop training content, schedule and conduct trainings etc. Programs include compliance, orientation, and leadership development.
Responsible for the administration of all property/patron forms including claims resolution; communicating information to patrons and supervisors; investigating patron injuries and accidents; follow-up on any employee discipline and/or safety improvements that must be made to our processes, equipment, etc. as a result of the incident.
Compile data for special projects; collect and assemble data and background materials for a variety of reports; prepares reports and summaries.
Responds to written and verbal employment verifications.
Administers various human resources programs including the tuition reimbursement, service and retirement awards, Wellness Program and CPR/AED/First Aid training program.
Manages sensitive and confidential matters like personnel relations, terminations, and organizational changes, planning and protecting the security of information, data and files.
Provides general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, forms and reports, arranging meetings, composing regular correspondence, processing confidential reports and documents, filing electronic and hard copy, tracking deadlines, and taking down minutes as needed.
Organize and coordinate events such as the annual service awards luncheon.

Required Experience:

Two (2) years of general administrative experience. HR related experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management or directly related field preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft products.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly accurate filing and organization skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects with attention to detail and follow through.
