Summary
In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating documentation, test plans, and test cases. Becomes the SME for the Emergency Services team. Ensures proper test coverage of all requirements and features.
Works with other team members to ensure a high level of quality and test execution of new feature and regression tests. Reports and creates issues as discovered. This individual has a firm grasp on how users/clients can interact with an application and can properly escalate high severity issues to the project team.
Duties and Responsibilities

Interface with product owners, program managers, and internal stakeholders to understand the product feature and the individual stories/requirements.
Ensure the feature can be tested and identify the procedure for each. Provide a specification for any data required to create necessary scenarios.
Create bugs when necessary, identifying the steps, expected behavior, observed behavior, and any supporting documentation.
Participate in feature and epic refinement reviews, giving feedback on requirements and acceptance criteria.
Create testing plans for features and epics, anticipating scenarios and developing strategies appropriate to the feature addition.
Identify key testing scenarios that contribute to regression test planning and successful software releases.
Contribute towards automation efforts for process improvements.
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
Design, develop and execute automation scripts.
Review regression testing reports.
Support Proof of Concept design and testing plans.
Work closely with the Scrum Team to resolve technical, design, and functional issues using manual and automated testing techniques.

Experience Required

Cross-functional experience in a DevOps software development environment, where influence and credibility have been leveraged for delivery
Telephony and Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) knowledge
Knowledge of VoIP, NG911, and Legacy 911
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field of study
Previous experience as a QA / Quality Assurance Tester
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development framework
Knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Experience testing UI and APIs
Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Knowledge of testing best practices, version control practices, and defect management practice
Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to communicate easily with both technical and non-technical users
Experience with Unix commands
Experience with Katalon, Selenium, Jenkins, Postman, or Insomnia preferred
CHAOS engineering knowledge and experience preferred
