Your day.

As an EKG Tech, you need to know how to:

Perform electrocardiograms.

Ensure accurate editing of EKG and that confirmation is complete.

Provide appropriate previous EKG’s for comparative interpretation by Physician. Separate EKG’s appropriately for interpretation by assigned Physician group.

Maintain accurate and complete records and statistics of all EKG procedures. Complete charges accurately.

Assist in maintaining order and cleanliness of the unit. Maintain appropriate stock levels.

Complete daily progress and discharge documentation according to departmental standards. Accurately document productivity information.

Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives. Identify potential areas for improvement including processes that could be streamlined or revised to improve patient satisfaction. Identify potential safety hazards that may create problems for patients and/or staff, and take appropriate actions.

Your experience.

High School Diploma or equivalent, required
