Your day.

As an OR Assistant you need to know how to:

Communicate various information to surgical staff and physicians

Greet patients/families, verify patient identity for surgery and transport same to and from operating room

Transport specimens and cultures to laboratory

Perform miscellaneous errands such as stocking supplies, picking up supplies, and similar duties

Performs cleaning and disinfection procedures in the operating room

Set up of specialty OR beds

Your experience.

High School diploma or equivalent, required

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, required

At least one (1) year of experience in a setting serving the same age/type of patient population served by this facility or department, preferred
