Responsibilities

The Technical Operations group, across multiple locations, is responsible for prepping content needed for domestic and international distribution. This includes transcode, edit and delivery services to meet client fulfilment around the globe 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This Media Operations Analyst position is responsible for providing Level 1 operational and technical support for the entire Technical Operations team.

The main objective is to assist all operations members with technical support related issues in a 24/7 environment. This includes proactively monitoring automated workflows and dashboards, responding to support tickets submitted by operations and resolving or properly escalating, initiating bridge calls for outages, and participating in system maintenance/release testing and deployment.

Media Operations ingests, preps, QC’s and delivers content internationally and relies on Media Support to solve issues electronically, on the phone and in person. Other responsibilities include providing operations and customer support for the portfolio of applications and products used for file-based digital workflows including video editing, transcoding, digital file delivery, and live streaming.

This is a role that combines broadcast engineering, information technology, and digital media. An ideal candidate will have a background in Computer Science, Information Systems, Post Production/TV or New Media. This person would like to operate in a fast-paced environment, enjoy interacting with customers, and willing to tackle unique challenges head-on. Must complete all other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications/Requirements

A minimum of 1 year of experience in either a broadcast, digital or post-production role
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a support-oriented position
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer facing role
A minimum of 1 year of experience of all Microsoft Office applications (including Outlook, Word, Excel)

Eligibility Requirements

Must be willing and able to work on any shift including, overnights, swing, or weekend
Must be willing to work on-site in Englewood Cliffs, NJ or Centennial, CO
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the US
Must be 18 years or older

Able to multi-task and make effective decisions in a high-pressure deadline driven environment
Strong communication skills and ability to interface with multiple departments, clients, and vendors
• An individual with a very strong desire to learn, take on new technologies and challenges • Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving, and escalation skills.

Experience working with NLE applications such Avid Media Composer, Adobe Suite, Final Cut Pro
Experience with MAMs for Archiving/Purging/Restoring (DIVA Director, Avid Interplay, Evertz Products)
Experience with digital delivery methods, such as Aspera P2P/Faspex, Signiant, ftp, UDCP etc.
Experience with MacCaption for Closed Caption creation, editing and converting.
Familiarity with digital media file types (Containers/Codecs) and workflows – QT, MXF, MPG, Mp4 etc.
Experience with QC Software such as Tektronix, Phabrix Scope, GrayMeta Iris, Switch, VLC etc.
Experience with live records, routing and transcodes (Grass Valley iControl, KVMs, DVS Venice, Florical, Avid Airspeed/Interplay Capture, Telestream Products)
Know your way around desktop hardware, software applications, MAC/PC OS and network connectivity
