As an Administrative Assistant you need to know how to:
Serve as the assistant to all functions within the department
Ensure requests and needs are referred appropriately
Compose professional correspondence
Coordinate mailings, copying, filing, maintaining calendars, travel arrangements and other clerical functions
Schedule appointments, arrange meetings, meeting preparation and assist in developing agendas
Maintain meeting minutes and status reports
Prepare routine and periodic reports
Understand and apply organizational policies and department guidelines
Establish appropriate priorities and meet deadlines
We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
At least 1-2 years’ experience in outpatient clinic or other healthcare environment
At least 2 years of computer experience with emphasis on word processing skills
At least 1-2 years’ experience in a Family Practice/Specialty clinic preferred
