Project Manager / Project Coordinator (Remote – Summer Opportunity – $65.4k/pa + up to $20k bonus)

We empower teachers with innovative curriculum resources, tools, and the mindset to do so. Teachers and students learn with SAM Labs kits and lessons by designing anything from energy efficient lighting grids for ‘smart’ cities to solar-powered habitats for endangered species – all the while meeting curriculum standards.
SAM Labs is currently looking for a fixed-term contract Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exciting District-Wide Summer Programs in US schools, based on Terms specified by contracts between the district and SAM Labs.
Key responsibilities:

Define & Deliver timelines, requirements, materials, resources, and stakeholders
Hiring & Managing
Posting Job Ads
Reviewing Candidates
Assessing & Interviewing
Training
Timesheets & Invoice management
Deliver Marketing Materials
Delegating tasks
Produce Risk Assessments and suggest ways to mitigate risks
Working with the SAM Labs teams to ensure good internal communication
Regular progress reporting and monitoring
Representing SAM Labs when speaking with external clients
Budget and T&C’s controlling
Post Project evaluations & Documenting outcomes for both internal and external stakeholders
Closing projects

To apply for this position you must:

Have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Manager
Be willing to work in a remote-first company
Be based in the USA
Be available to start work full time at the beginning of May-22

Bonus points if (not mandatory):

You are based in one of the following states: Colorado, Texas or Oregon
You have experience hiring teams
You have experience in delivering educational projects
You have experience in delivering District-wide RFP projects
You have experience in working with Google Docs, Hubspot, and/or Trello
You are available to start immediately

What SAM Labs offers:

Fixed Term contract (6 months – flexible, minimum 4 months: May-Aug 2022)
$65.4k p/a ($5,450/per month) and up to $20k bonus (performance/deliverables based)
Potential to extend the contract in the future or re-hire in 2023 (performance/deliverables based).
