Seattle Medical Associates is a small, exclusive downtown Internal Medicine office, devoted to patient care. We seek a personable, committed Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. We offer competitive pay plus benefits, retirement plan, and paid parking or transportation options.
Position Title: Patient Care Coordinator (PCC)
Position Summary:
The Patient Care Coordinator is the first point of communication with the patients and plays a critical role in patient care. His/her primary role is to greet patients, take patient calls, maintain schedules, and handle incoming paperwork.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Be an inquisitive learner
Experience:
One year of experience as a patient care coordinator or medical receptionist in a medical environment- Required.
Epic EMR experience – Required.
Skills:
Epic knowledge Required.
Possess critical thinking skills to be able to make decisions and prioritize daily activities related to the front office.
Possess and use good oral and written communication as well as excellent phone and compassionate customer service skills.
Possess proficient computer skills operating in a windows-based environment.
Work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
A desire to be part of a team providing excellent patient care.
Responsibilities:
Positively greet customers into the practice and provide instruction and/or direction as necessary both on the phone and in person.
Schedule, reschedule and coordinate all patient appointments.
Accurately update and maintain all electronic medical records as needed or directed.
Accurately maintain provider’s master schedule and modify it according to established sources.
Answer phone calls courteously, collect, and document detailed information and route phone calls appropriately.
Efficiently provide basic office administrative support tasks such as mailing, faxing, sorting, typing, filing, etc.
Prepare all chart documentation and records with accuracy as directed or necessary for the patient’s care.
Participate and contribute in a team-based environment.
Maintain a team supportive attendance record.
Follow HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and security of the patients’ health records and PHI.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 – $29.00 per hour
