Valiant is seeking for motivated, experienced personnel to join our professional team at Denver, CO to serve as Contract Interpreters. **This position is in anticipation of a valid USG requirement and dependent upon availability of funding. **

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Interpreter requirement to support training is flexible and dynamic, changing with various and dynamic types of rotations, cultural and geographic locations and level of intensity of the training.
Interpreters include Foreign Language Speaking Interpreters, Generic Interpreters, Insurgent Interpreters, Casualty Role Players, Battlefield Special Effect Replication, and Special Operations Interpreters to support rotational training at Denver, CO.
The use of Interpreter, both Foreign Language Speaking (FLS) and generic (nonforeign language speaking) is critical to adding the realistic cultural texturing to illicit the appropriate training behaviors in the training environment.
Foreign language usage exercises the training unit’s human intelligence assets, adds complexity to the Rotational Training Units’ operations, provides a source of intelligence and information, and exercises the unit’s procedures for care and treatment of non-English speaking combatants and non-combatants.
Interpreter provide the human terrain and cultural context for operations as a people-centric approach in the units’ preparation and training.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Previous Interpreter Experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in Dari and/or Pashtu.
The ability to pass a background check
Experience with the MS Office Suite

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School graduate, GED, or equivalent is a minimum with some college level work preferred. In lieu of education, experience may be substituted.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift at least 30 lbs. overhead and complete a 3-mile trail-hike with 30 lbs. rucksack in less than 90 minutes Highly Desired

Report all hazards, potential hazards or dangerous situations, including damaged or mislaid personal protective equipment to your Supervisor or Safety Representative.
Report Environmental impacts, anything that results in a change to the Environment as a result of Valiant’s activities, products or services.
Participate in the achievement of Valiant’s QHSE objectives and targets, both those at departmental and company level.
