Coeffect is seeking an exceptional part-time administrative assistant to provide support for our consulting team, helping us make an even greater impact on the nonprofits we work with.

About Coeffect: Coeffect works with nonprofit executives and founders of social enterprises to leverage data to make a greater impact. The leaders we work with often feel overwhelmed and uncertain about how to implement an impact measurement strategy. After working with us, our clients report:

Increasing their data quality
Increasing their knowledge of data & evaluation
Making better decisions about where to invest their time

Ultimately our clients find that data helps them provide better services and raise the money that they need to grow. We focus on working with small organizations (5 – 40 employees) and support them in three general areas: impact strategy, data collection and analysis, and data systems (implementingSalesforce in particular).
Coeffect is a small team—three consultants at this moment—that works remotely with clients across the US. We are comfortable working with any US-based professional, regardless of time zone. If we can find someone located in the Denver area, that is a plus as Paul (the founder) is based here.
Anticipated WorkloadHours will vary. It is anticipated that the position will begin at 7-15 hours per week with room for growth. We are comfortable setting a weekly or monthly “chunk” of hours or allowing the role to flex week-to-week. The nature of the role means that work should happen between ~9 am – 5 pm MT – this is not a role that can be performed well during nights and weekends.

Experience in a similar role – we’re here to support you but as a startup, we don’t have a robust training infrastructure, and your prior experience will help us shape this role in the future.
World-class organizational skills – you are methodical and organized. You enjoy being the kind of person that doesn’t let things fall through the cracks.
Skilled writer – You have strong, friendly, professional written communication. Your tone is simple and clear, which helps you communicate complicated ideas and subjects in an approachable way. You also enjoy writing, and want to develop skills in this.
Strong researcher – When it comes to research, you can push past the surface and find insights and ideas that others might miss. You have experience working on self-directed research projects and can prepare briefs that outline your findings.
Comfort with digital systems – You have used a wide array of digital tools (e.g., Quickbooks, Asana, Google Suite, Salesforce, etc.) and are willing to learn new tools as needed. You’re a pro in the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
Growth mindset – You are excited about learning new things, even (and especially) if they are out of your comfort zone. You wake up with a desire to grow your skills, learn, and improve in some small way every day.


Some familiarity with social media platforms such as LinkedIn
Able to translate ambiguous, messy tasks into more defined and repeatable processes
Experience working in or with a nonprofit organization or social enterprise
Experience working in or with startups or other fast-paced organizations, where you have helped create structure where structure previously did not exist

Professional degrees are nice but not required for this position; we value lived experience and your track record of helping teams succeed no matter what form it comes in. This could be an ideal position for a young professional who is balancing gigs; or a later-career professional with an aptitude for the tasks listed above and an interest in helping us become a stronger team.
About the work.Here are the kinds of work we expect this person will support with, and a rough estimated monthly level of effort at this time.

Scheduling & C=coordination: managing Paul’s schedule, scheduling client meetings, scheduling travel
Project management: client onboarding / offboarding, regular KPI’s and reporting, creating process documentation
Marketing: LinkedIn (requesting connections for current contacts); LinkedIn + Social Media (Posting for Paul; Writing content); crafting up newsletter content; coordinating with designers and other team members
Accounting & Monthly bookkeeping: Recordkeeping, bookkeeping, monthly invoicing, salesforce maintenance/help update
Other: Prospect and thought leadership research, proofreading + editing

There may be additional opportunities for the admin to perform billable work for Coeffect’s clients, depending on the person’s skillset, capacity, and interest.
Hourly RateCompensation for this position will be $25-35 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
